GRC addresses the critical challenges on the International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS), delivering the solutions that sustain Moore's Law.
FCRP focuses on carrying CMOS to its ultimate limits and beyond, keeping the United States and its industries at the forefront of technology.
The focus of NRI is to demonstrate novel computing devices capable of replacing the CMOS transistor as a logic switch in the 2020 timeframe.
TRCs create research opportunities among the semiconductor industry and other sectors. This innovative applications research, for SRC members and non-members, currently includes the following three areas:
bioelectronics, energy & nanoengineering.
The Alliance, a private foundation, supports a diversity of students at various levels of education in industry-related research, encouraging them to pursue a future in science and engineering.
FCRP Student ProgramsOne of the most significant benefits of FCRP's cooperative research is an increased number of graduate students being educated to enter the semiconductor field. As they begin careers in the industry, these students become an effective means of transferring technology from the university community to the industry. FCRP supports advanced degree students on contracts guided by FCRP research programs. These students are academically outstanding and have demonstrated research capability in disciplines critical to the semiconductor industry. More information on SRC Student Programs is available by logging in and viewing the Student Programs Brochure. Benefits for StudentsStudents participating in FCRP research enjoy a host of benefits, including
Additional information, including, new student forms, can be found on the For FCRP Students page of the Web site or visit the FCRP Student Handbook for more complete information. Benefits for IndustryFCRP offers a number of resources to help its sponsor companies obtain access to relevantly educated talent in semiconductor research. Recruiters can search a database of funded students on the MARCO/FCRP Web site to find those whose backgrounds meet their interests. And through FCRP-sponsored events, industry representatives have many opportunities to meet and interact with students. These resources assist sponsor companies in filling internship and employment needs. Recruiters from sponsoring companies are encouraged to sign up for a Web account to access the resources on the For Recruiters page of the Web site. Questions about FCRP student programs?
